Injury Insurance
Built for Cyclists

Balance helps protect cyclists from the life-changing financial consequences of an accident, anytime and anywhere you’re on a bike. While medical insurance will pay most of the hospital bills, it doesn’t cover the high cost of deductibles, loss of income due to time away from work, adjustments to your home, or nearly everything else outside of direct treatment.

Traditionally, cyclists come together to hold fundraisers for friends who get seriously injured on a bike. We created Balance because insurance is a more effective way to get substantial funds when an accident occurs. Instead of holding a fundraiser, wouldn’t it be better if an injured cyclist got a check from an insurance program?

Here's how it works - anytime and anywhere you're on a bike, if you're in a covered accident, we pay you defined benefits. They're paid directly to you and you decide how to use those benefits. You can use them for your health insurance deductible, to adapt to new life circumstances, or even to fix your bike.

For cyclists, health insurance is not enough. That's why Balance offers Personal Accident coverage built for cyclists. Coverage plans are available for $50,000, $100,000 and $150,000.

Balance offers Event & Tour operators Personal Accident coverage for every rider. Cancellation coverage is available to protect your event from certain circumstances beyond your control. Eligible clubs can get group rates for their members.

Your riders aren't just customers. They're your neighbors, friends, and loved ones. For Bikeshare programs, Balance offers Personal Accident coverage for each rider, on every ride.
