Here's how it works - anytime and anywhere you're on a bike, if you're in a covered accident, we pay you defined benefits. They're paid directly to you, and you decide how to use those benefits. You can use them for your health insurance deductible, to adapt to new life circumstances, or even to fix your bike.

for injuries requiring medical treatment
Worried about hospital costs? If you suffer a covered accident, Balance provides $300 a day for up to 60 days in hospital.
Please note: This benefit does not include confinement in a Long Term Acute Care Hospital. What’s a “Long Term Acute Care Hospital?”
There's no time to worry about costs during an emergency. Balance offers an extra $300 per visit payable for treatment in an Emergency Room and $150 per visit for treatment in an Urgent Care Center.
Need a physical therapist? So long as you receive treatment within 72 hours of a covered accident, Balance pays you $75 a visit for up to 10 visits with a physical therapist. Just be sure to begin treatment within 60 days of the accident.
When you need an ambulance, Balance pays up to $500 to help offset the cost of a ground ambulance and/or up to $5,000 for transportation by air if required.

TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY (TBI)
Balance is the first insurance plan to offer a benefit specifically for traumatic brain injury (TBI) from a bicycle accident, with benefits for severe and moderate traumatic brain injuries. What’s considered a TBI?
If a covered accident results in paralysis in one or more limbs, Balance has you covered with benefits for quadriplegia, hemiplegia, paraplegia, and uniplegia.
Loss of Limb (Dismemberment)
If you lose one or more body members (i.e. arm, leg, hand, foot or eye) resulting from a covered accident, Balance will pay you a specified percentage of the selected benefit.
Choose one of three levels of coverage
Signing up is easy. There are no health questions or physical exams required. Just be a U.S. resident age 18-74 in a state where Balance for Cyclists is available. Choose to pay in 6 or 12 month terms. Prices do not include surplus lines taxes & fees based on your state of residence.
